Regulatory Service Centres
Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) had been coordinating one stop shops for business registration (OSSBR) since establishment in 2011 by the Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry (MCTI) under the private sector development reform programme (PSDRP).
- Establishment of the OSSBR was a strategy aimed at improving the business environment in Zambia through streamlining of business registration procedures.
- Coordination of One Stop Shops for business registration (OSSBR) was transferred from ZDA to BRRA in January 2016. The OSSBR were renamed Regulatory Services Centers by the Business Regulatory Act;
- The idea is to offer a wide range of services related to business registration.
Objectives of Regulatory Service Centers
The main aim of establishing the Regulatory Services Centres is to provide for an efficient regulatory clearance system by:
Streamlining business registration processes;
Providing single licensing system;
- Reducing the procedures and time it takes to complete the registration process; and
- Increasing accessibility of business registration institutions by placing them under one roof.
